May is National Mental Health and Awareness Month and also Better Hearing and Speech Month.

On Monday, May 16, we will host a “How to Prevent Summer Slide Workshop” for current 5K students from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. The flier with information is linked here. Our 4th and 5th grade students will take the reading portion of SC READY.

On Tuesday, May 17, 4th and 5th grade students will take the writing portion of SC READy. We will also host our last Title 1/SIC meeting of the year at 5:30 p.m. at the Zoom link here. We also need your feedback!! Please complete our Title 1 Annual Evaluation at the link(s) included by May 19: Title l Annual Evaluation 2021-22 or Title l Annual Evaluation 2021-2022 (Spanish) The Lexington District One School Board meets at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 18, 4th and 5th grade students will take the math portion of SC READY. Library books are also due on this date.

On Thursday, May 19, 4th grade only will participate in the SC PASS science test.

On Friday, May 20, we will host a senior walk for graduating high school seniors that attended RBE during their elementary career.

A Promotion Ceremony for our wonderful fifth grade students will be held on Tuesday, May 31 from 8:00 until 9:30 a.m.

Please be reminded that isolation requirements for those who have COVID-19 or are symptomatic have not changed. You will still need to report student positives in the link here. If your child has been vaccinated, you may provide that documentation for our records by sending a copy to Nurse Poole.
