Weekly Updates from Mrs. McNair

Thank you for participating in our Meadow Glen Dance Fit! We had a great time dancing last Friday and appreciate the support our community provides the students and staff at MGES.

Student-Led Conferences(SLCs) were an overall success. If you have not had a chance to hear your child share about his or her learning, set aside some time over Spring Break. I think you will be amazed at their reflections of this year.

I hope you enjoyed Spring Break! If you didn’t get a chance to complete a Secret Family Missions, take a look at these ideas for future fun. Thanks to our School Improvement Council, we have some optional experiences that you and the family can enjoy.

Spring Pictures for our in-person students are scheduled for Tuesday, April 13. LOOLA spring pictures are scheduled for Friday, April 16.

The deadline for ordering a yearbook is April 30th. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Simply go to www.jostens.com and search "Meadow Glen Elementary"

If your student has tested positive for COVID-19 or is a close contact or household contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19 over the break, please complete the forms found here in English or Spanish.

After you fill out the forms, a school nurse will contact you to discuss the next steps.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow morning. Be sure to be on time. Students will be marked tardy after 7:40 am.

Please be sure to communicate ALL transportation changes through a phone call to the front office at 821-0400 before 1:30 p.m. Early dismissals will not be made after 1:30 p.m. Do not communicate transportation changes through an email to the teacher.

Be sure to send a note/medical excuse to school or email Mrs. Manley at lmanley@lexington1.net any reasons for your child's absence and keep our school nurse, Rebekah Flanagan, updated on any signs of sickness in your household.

The 4K application process is open and the application is available on the district's website for families to apply online. Families can request a paper copy by contacting the school.

Registration for Immersion Kindergarten is not open yet. However, you can use this link to request registration information.

Our 5K registration process will not begin until later this year. We will keep you posted.

Spirit Days are EVERY Friday! You can still order spirit gear at our MGES PTO Online Store.

All students continue to receive no-cost breakfast and lunch meals at school.

Take Home Meals: LOOLA students may sign up for their meals to be picked up on Fridays, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., at one of the school locations listed below. They must complete this form by 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. The form will reopen at 1 p.m. each Friday for the following week's meal service.

LOOLA Fridays are scheduled days to pick up library books for LOOLA students. Use this Curbside Book Pick-up at Meadow Glen link to join the fun!

Exploring the Glen and the MGES Website continue to be a great resource for information happening at Meadow Glen Elementary School!

For technical support, use these Directions to submit a BOSS TICKET and Mr. Newell will be able to help you overcome technical difficulties.

Thank you for working with us to Empower each child to design the Future!
