Meet Our Counselors

  • Sawyer

    Dominique Sawyer – Ms. Sawyer is the Director of School Counseling and 8th Grade School Counselor at MGM. She is from Darlington, SC. She received her Bachelor’s. degree in Psychology, Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education with specialization in School Counseling and Career Development Facilitator certificate; all from the University of South Carolina. Her hobbies include coaching basketball, watching/attending sports events, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.     Myers

    Davis Myers - (School Counselor) - Ms. Myers is beginning her 7th year as a School Counselor at MGM. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. She received her Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education with a specialization in School Counseling along with a Career Development Facilitator certificate from the University of South Carolina. She loves outdoor activities including tennis, biking, water sports, skiing, and traveling to visit new places with family and friends.      Long

    Amy Long-  (School Counselor) Mrs. Long is in her twelfth year as a school counselor and has been fortunate enough to be a Meadow Glen Gator since the school’s opening.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College and then her Educational Specialist degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina.  She is certified as a school counselor for grades K-12.   Mrs. Long loves to be outside playing with her family (husband, two kids, and sheepadoodle).  She loves to cook, travel, and read.  Mrs. Long is very excited to be back at MGM, this year working as the 6th grade counselor.  You can reach Mrs. Long at aalong@lexington1.net or 803-821-0619.

     

    Ruthann Payne - I am the School Counseling intern at Meadow Glen Middle this year. I am a South Carolina native and a loyal Gamecock fan. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2018 and am currently working towards my Masters degree in School Counseling from Capella University. I am so excited to be here at Meadow Glen Middle and cannot wait to work with everyone here!

     

    Mary-Margarette Hill - This is Dr. Hill’s first year as a school counselor and she is excited to be here at Meadow Glen Middle School!  She earned a B.S. in Psychology from Jackson State University (#TheeILove), M.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Doctorate in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College, and a Graduate Certificate in School Counseling from Winthrop University.  Dr. Hill loves to spend time with her family watching TV and having fun, reading, and playing tennis.
