Garrison Hilton received his BA degree in Dance Education, with K-12 certification, from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, graduating in May of 2012. While at USC, he was not only an active member in the dance education classroom but he also performed in numerous stage performances and choreographed several works that were featured USC’s student choreography showcases. His works were also taken past the USC stage and were performed at state level dance conferences. He is also the first, and only, male dance education major, to graduate from the University of South Carolina and was awarded the 2012 Director’s Award for Excellence in Dance Education. Since 2005, he has served as the director of the Colorguard and Winterguard at White Knoll High School. Under his direction the Colorguard program has grown into one of the largest and most successful programs in the state, winning numerous awards and maintaining a consistent level of excellence.
