I am originally from Dayton, OH, where I taught for 10 years. In 2012, I moved and began teaching in South Carolina. I have been teaching at Pelion Middle School since 2018. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Miami University (Ohio) and my Masters degree in School Guidance from the University of Dayton. I am the Special Education Department Head for PMS. I am also a Certified Teacher Evaluator.  
 
I have two wonderful children: Cole and Max. I enjoy reading a good book (when I have spare time), decorating and shopping.

Mrs. Nicole Lane

Nikki has lived in South Carolina for almost three years. This is her second year at PMS. She received her teaching certification in special education from East Carolina University and has a degree in Anthropology from UNC-Charlotte. This is her 4th year teaching. She has spent her career working with children, adults and seniors in various non-profit organizations focused on education, community outreach and health.
 
In her free time, Nikki enjoys watching movies, playing board games, cooking, exercising and going to concerts. She and her husband have made their home in Lexington with their son John, and daughter Dannah.

Quameshia Gantt

Meshia came to Pelion Middle from Carolina Springs Middle, where she started her teaching career. This is her third year of teaching. 

She graduated from Clemson University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Special Education, and recently completed her Masters in Education Leadership with Grand Canyon State University.

During her free time, Meshia enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends. 

 

Miss Gantt also serves as the head cheer coach at Pelion Middle.

Miss Hannah Snelgrove

Hannah is a recent graduate of Clemson University (Go Tigers!) and is excited to begin her first year of teaching at PMS! She has grown up around kids her whole life, works as a nanny in the summers, and truly cannot wait to begin working with a new generation of world changers. Hannah spends her free time hanging out with her friends and family, reading, and watching the most binge-worthy shows on Netflix.

Miss Sharpe is joining us this year at Pelion Middle School as one of our resource teachers. Danielle graduated from Lander University where she majored in Special Education. Danielle is a proud graduate of Lexington One schools (Midway Elementary, LMS, River Bluff.) In my free time I enjoy taking pictures and hanging out with friends.

My name is Blair Sydow. After graduating from Winthrop University in December of 2005, I began teaching in Lexington District One in January 2005. I have experience in teaching middle school science and math and am currently teaching ESOL. I have two daughters that bring me so much joy! Together we enjoy traveling, hiking, and sports.

I am originally from Northern New York and moved to South Carolina in 2015.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Secondary Social Studies from SUNY Cortland.  I also have my Masters in Literacy Education from SUNY Potsdam and received my Gifted and Talented endorsement.
 
My husband, Jim, and my two sons, Micah and Cory, enjoy hiking, watching sports, and spending time on the lake.  I enjoy watching my boys play baseball, reading for fun, or going to the beach

My name is Christopher Johnson, I am a proud father of 5 children. A husband of one wife. I enjoy reading Epic poetry, history, fantasy, and philosophy. My family and I also love to hike and camp, and have visited a few of our state's many waterfalls. I began working in education in 2013 at the Carolina School for Inquiry as an assistant, and have been a teacher since the following school year.

I began working in the school system in 2001, and have had the pleasure of working with students ranging from preschool to middle school age.
 
When I am not at a school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I are proud parents of a Clemson Tiger baseball player. We enjoy traveling to Clemson every chance we get, and look forward to many baseball road trips.
