I am so honored to be the principal of Beechwood Middle School, home of the Bengals!  I have worked in education since 1990 when I began my career in Ohio as a Spanish and English teacher.  I moved to South Carolina in 1998 and began teaching Spanish at Hammond School in Columbia and then at Ridge View High School in Blythewood.  I joined the Lexington One family in 2000 teaching Spanish at White Knoll Middle School.  In 2004, I moved to Lexington Middle School as a technology integration specialist. In 2012, I began my career in administration as an assistant principal at Lexington Middle School.  In 2014 I became principal of Lexington Middle School. In December of 2018, I was appointed principal of Beechwood Middle School and spent the following months working on opening this amazing school!

While at White Knoll Middle School and Lexington Middle School I was named Teacher of the Year.  I am a member of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English from Kent State University and a Master of Education in educational administration from Ashland University.

Outside of school, I enjoy family time with my family of five and our new golden-doodle puppy. My hobbies include officiating high school sports, coaching my children’s basketball and baseball teams, attending USC and Newberry College sporting events, and camping. We are also very active in our local church where I teach a young adult Sunday School class, we volunteer with the youth and children’s’ ministries, and I participate in a men’s group known as REAL. I am excited to be part of the Beechwood family.
