Weekly Message From Mrs. Ricard

  • We had a great week at RBE and are looking forward to the upcoming week! Please see the information below about things going on at RBE this week:

    • On Wednesday, December 15, we will celebrate Flannel by the Fireside by wearing our flannel shirts and jeans to stay warm and cozy!

    • On Thursday, December 16, we will be shining brightly as we “light up” our attire with lights, glitter, etc.

    • On Friday, we will have made it to winter break! Let’s celebrate by wearing our favorite PJs to be comfy all day! We will also share our Virtual RBE Holiday Show that Ms. Camille Jones is arranging.

    • Car riders may be dropped off at 7 a.m. The tardy bell will ring at 7:40 a.m. after which you must come into the secured entry to sign in your child. Students are dismissed at 2:20 p.m.

    • All who enter our health room must wear a mask at all times because it is considered a healthcare facility. If your child is experiencing COVID symptoms, is a close contact, or has received a positive diagnosis, please complete the link to Report COVID-19 positive tests and exposures HERE, After you report, someone from the district will contact you to provide you guidance and a tentative return to school date. If your child is planning to return early from quarantine with a negative test result, please contact the school to make us aware and send in the negative results.

    • DHEC’s guidance states that students who were within 3 to 6 feet of an infected student and were wearing a mask during the exposure time are no longer considered a close contact and therefore do not have to quarantine regardless of whether or not the infected student was wearing a mask.

    • When we return from winter break, we are likely going to return to our “high spread” protocols where we will recommend masks, will not be allowed to have parents in for lunch, etc. Please stay tuned for updates.

    • We will return from winter break on Monday, January 3 with all students and staff.

We look forward to seeing you all back at RBE on Monday where we will continue to Lead. Learn. Love….and Pass It On!
