PLEASANT HILL MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 6-8)

Pleasant Hill Middle School is home of the Cougars. Students will discover an environment that not only helps them learn how to be successful in the classroom, but also discover their capabilities to create, to think, and to lead. As a participant in the South Carolina Arts Commission Arts in Education program, Pleasant Hill Middle School shows students different approaches to learning through the fine arts.

  • Summer Reading 2021

All PHMS students are encouraged to read at least one book this summer.  Click herefor some great options and more information.  If you are a rising 8th grader, check out this list.  If you are a rising English I student, check out this list of suggestions.  Please remember that the Young Adult Book Award Nominees will have more adult content and should be reviewed by parents.  Common Sense Media is a good place to read book reviews to make decisions about what is appropriate for your student.

Immunization reminder for rising 7th graders:

South Carolina law requires that all students entering seventh grade receive one (1) dose of the Tdap vaccine. In order for your child to enroll in and attend seventh grade next year, you should provide an updated South Carolina Certificate of Immunization showing proof of Tdap vaccination to your child’s school.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your school nurse, Ann Chandler, RN at 803-821-2723 or Achandler@lexington1.net.
