Regular kindergarten registration has been delayed which means immersion 5K has also been delayed. If you would like to be contacted once the district has a registration date, please complete the Google Form below.
Coming soon! It is so exciting that we have a plan in hand for transitioning to a 5-day week! Please note that on March 16 the start of the day will return to the normal time of 7:40 a.m. Car riders may arrive from 7:00 to 7:40 a.m. If your child is tardy, the parent must walk into the school to sign the child in for class. This is also a safety issue as the front door is locked so the adult must ring the doorbell for entrance. Students arriving between 7:00-7:15 will sit in the hall and go into the classroom at 7:15 a.m. with the teacher.
Please know that breakfast and lunch continue to be free for all students. This will continue until the end of the school year.
For dismissal, the school day has been extended by 10 minutes and the dismissal process will begin at 2:10 p.m. The primary students (kindergarten through grade 2) along with their siblings will be dismissed at 2:10 p.m. Then elementary students (grade 3 through 5) will be dismissed at 2:25 p.m. Parents of the elementary students should not come early as your child will not be outside until the indicated time and you will block traffic.
In essence, all is the same with arrival and dismissal except the time. We start 10 minutes earlier and we dismiss 10 minutes later. This gives us 20 minutes back to our instructional day.
I do hope you have a wonderful weekend! The weather sounds promising with sun and warmer temps!
Yours truly,
Jan Fickling
