Degrees and Certifications:
am thrilled to be a part of the Beechwood Middle Family. In 1999, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina at Aiken and began my teaching career. Later, I returned to earn my Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Prior to coming to Lexington School District One, I taught fourth grade in Aiken County and I taught fifth through eighth grade in Lexington School District Two. Then I moved to Lake Murray Elementary School and taught third through fifth grade. This is my second year at Beechwood Middle. I have my Gifted and Talented endorsement and I have my Read to Succeed certification.
My husband, Chase, and I have two beautiful daughters. Amelia, who will be a ninth-grader at Lexington High School this year, and Olivia, who will be in fourth grade at Lake Murray Elementary. I also have a sweet, yet overprotective dog, named Teddy. In my free time, I enjoy watching soccer games, supporting my daughter at cheerleading competitions, exercising, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to an exciting and productive year!
