Savannah Ames

Hello! My name is Savannah Ames, and I am a FIRST-Year teacher at Saxe Gotha Elementary School. I could not be more excited to teach First Grade, AND to be a shining star! I graduated from the University of South Carolina, Columbia in 2020. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. My internship was at North Springs Elementary in a First Grade class in Richland District 2. I am 26 years old, therefore I am an "older" "First-Year" teacher. I spent 4 full years working in a registered Daycare Facility to make sure that working with children was something that I really wanted to do. I absolutely loved my experiences at the daycare, and from there I decided I needed to go back and finish my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been married for almost two years to the love of my life, Rex. We have an amazing pet cat named Milo. I enjoy reading children's books, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. I love all things pink, scented, and glittery. If we all work together and remain positive, the possibilities are endless.
