Mrs. Kara Stevens

I have been teaching 2nd grade for 18 years.  This is my 13th year at White Knoll.  I graduated in 2002 with my Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.  I studied and played music in the Music program and also played clarinet in the Carolina Band! Go Gamecocks!  I am a current member of the Lexington Community Band as I continue my love of music.  Teaching has always been my passion, through Teacher Cadets, teaching private clarinet lessons, and instructing at band camps and church camps.  I assure you that I will work hard to be the very best for your child.

I have been married for 18 years to my sweet husband, Mike, who works at USC at the Institute for Mind and Brain in the Psychology Dept. He is a research assistant in conducting studies with infants and children.  We do not have children of our own, but we definitely love and care for all the children through our jobs.
