Immersion ELA/Social Studies

Hey there! I am very excited to be entering my sixth year of teaching first grade. This is my second year at Midway, and I am so proud to be a Mustang. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with my degree in Early Childhood Education, and I have recently graduated from Liberty University with my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision. My husband and I stay rather busy with our four year old daughter, but we enjoy spending time with family and friends during the free time that we have. We also love to cheer on the Gamecocks during all sporting events, too. I look forward to a new year of learning and growing in 1st grade!

Hello Mustangs! This is my ninth year teaching first grade at Midway and my fourteenth year teaching overall. I received my undergraduate and Masters degree from Xavier University located in Cincinnati, Ohio. My husband and I have two children. My daughter Madelyn is five and my son Zachary is a year old. We also have an 9-year-old pup named Sophie. When I am not teaching I like to spend time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to another great year at Midway!

Welcome to 1st grade! This is my 15th year teaching and having fun with kids. I have loved watching kids grow and learn. I look forward to seeing how much growth can be made this year in 1st grade.

I have a degree from Columbia College in Elementary Education. I am certified in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I also have a master’s degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College. My latest professional accomplishment was receiving National Board Certification in 2013.

Outside of school I love to spend time with my family. I am married and have two boys who also attend Lexington 1 schools. I also love spending time with my sweet Cockapoo. She is my one and only girl!

I cannot wait to work with our parents and students towards our vision to "empower each child to design the future." Go Mustangs!

Immersion Math/Science

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. My parents lived overseas in Switzerland and Tunisia for nearly a decade. Despite being their only child born in the states, I was immersed in French at home from a young age. My language rich upbringing sparked a passion for immersion education, and I hope to spread the love of language and culture to my students.
