Degrees and Certifications:
I obtained my Bachelors of Arts Degree in History with a concentration in Middle School Social Studies from Winthrop University. I then went on to obtain my Masters Degree from Liberty University in Educational Leadership and I recently obtained an additional Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with a certification in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina.
This year will be my 7th year at Meadow Glen Middle School and my 16th year teaching Middle School Social Studies. Family is so very important to me. My husband, Bill, and I have two sons, Mac and Liam, and an Olde English Bulldog named Emerald. Both my husband and I come from fairly large, but very close-knit families. We live within several miles of our parents and all of our siblings, near our family's farm in rural Fairfield County. We spend a great deal of time with our extended families and it is not uncommon for our extended families to have meals and/or celebrations together on a weekly basis. In addition to spending time with and cooking for both my immediate and extended family, I enjoy traveling, Late Model Dirt Track racing, working in my yard, riding ATVs and UTVs, Escape Rooms, and watching Gamecock athletics.
