Meet Our Counselors
Dominique Sawyer – Ms. Sawyer is the 8th Grade School Counselor at MGM. She is from Darlington, SC. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology and her Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education with specialization in School Counseling; both from the University of South Carolina. She is a Gamecocks and sports fanatic! Her hobbies include watching/analyzing sports, traveling and spending time with her family especially her mom and 17 year old Shih Tzu, Millie. Tiffani Parillo- Ms. Parillo is the newest member of the MGM counseling department and services the 7th grade students. She is originally from Rhode Island and recently moved to South Carolina. Ms. Parillo earned her Bachelors of Science in Community Health and Wellness before continuing her education. In December, she received her Masters of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. Ms. Parillo was previously a varsity cheerleading coach and is an avid college football fan! She loves traveling, volunteering, hiking, the Minnesota Vikings and the Boston Red Sox. She is excited to join the MGM family! Davis Myers – Ms. Myers is the 6th Grade School Counselor at MGM. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. She received her Educational Specialist degree in Counselor Education with a specialization in School Counseling along with a Career Development Facilitator certificate from the University of South Carolina. She loves outdoor activities including tennis, biking, water sports, skiing and traveling to visit new places with family and friends. Amy Long- (School Counselor) Mrs. Long is starting her eleventh year as a school counselor, and has been fortunate enough to be a Meadow Glen Gator since the school’s opening. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College and then her Educational Specialist degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina. She is certified as a school counselor for grades K-12. Mrs. Long loves to be outside playing with her family (husband, two little kids, and puppy). She loves to cook, travel, and read. Mrs. Long is very excited to be back at MGM, this year working as the counselor for MGM students in the Lexington One Online Learning Academy. She works Monday-Friday from 8-12. My name is Ruthann Payne, I am the School Counseling intern at Meadow Glen Middle this year. I am a South Carolina native and a loyal Gamecock fan. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2018 and am currently working towards my Masters degree in School Counseling from Capella University. I am so excited to be here at Meadow Glen Middle and cannot wait to work with everyone here!
